From 16 to 19 September 2024, The National president CCMN - (Mother Monica PZ Ango) alongside the immediate Past President (Prof. Asusu) attended a workshop organised by the World Women Observatory(WWO) of the World Union of Catholic Women's Organizations (WUCWO). this took place in Uganda in the old town of Entebbe under the title "African Network against violence and discrimination against women, sharing good practices and results." This event brought togetjer up to 65 women (Religious and Lay) leaders representing organisations from 18 African Countries which Nigeria was inclusive. The National President was there to represnt the Confratenity of Christian Mothers, Nigeria (CCMN)
During the duscussions, several key issues in the fight against violence were addressed. This included presentations of good practices by leaders from various Countries. the workshop not only provided tools to address violence and discrimination against women but also provided a space for exchange and mutual reinforcement amongst leaders committed to Social Change in Africa,
The Workshop concluded with a reflection on the need to Network both amongst lay and Religious women and to also actively involve Bishops and other church leaders in the fight against Gender Based Violence (GBV)
